- You need to turn on your Mac and the Canon printer first.
- Make sure that you have the updated version of OS on your Mac.
- Connect the printer to your Mac using a standard USB cable.
- If you wish to perform AirPrint wirelessly, connect both the devices to the same wireless network.
- Load the required amount of papers into the canon printer’s paper input tray and make the paper settings.
- On your Mac, click the Apple menu at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select the System Preferences option from the drop-down menu.
- Next, click the Printers & Scanners icon and click Add icon at the left-side panel.
- Click the Default tab and check whether you have added the Canon printer as a default printer.
- Make sure that you have disabled the firewall settings on your Mac to avoid the issues while adding the printer.
- Select your printer from the displayed list and click the Use field.
- Select the AirPrint option and click the Add button.
- After adding the printer to your Mac, open the webpage or document to be printed.
